If you’ve been itching to find out more about the upcoming Resident Evil Village as well as what’s going on in the wider Resident Evil franchise, the Resident Evil Showcase is probably the most exciting addition to your calendar this year.

Promising our best look yet at Village, including that massive, massive lady, Resident Evil Showcase will also have a few surprises up its sleeve, including potentially other Resi games — and maybe something else.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Resident Evil Showcase this January, including when it kicks off and where you can watch it.

When Does The Resident Evil Showcase Take Place?

Resident Evil Showcase will take place this Thursday, January 21st at 2pm PT / 10pm GMT / 11pm CET. Be sure to use this handy timezone convertor if yours isn’t included.

Where Can I Watch It?

You will be able to watch the Showcase directly above on the day, or from the official Resident Evil Twitch. PlayStation will also be broadcasting the stream on their YouTube and Twitch channels.

The showcase should be made available to watch again shortly after the conclusion of the stream.

What Should We Expect?

Capcom have already mentioned that we will be getting our first look at gameplay (which isn’t strictly true), but a release date announcement is also a given considering it should be out sometime this year.

As for what else is in store, rumblings of a Resident Evil 4 remake have been hard to avoid ever since the release of the Resident Evil 3 remake, so it’s not unlikely that we will get a brief teaser for that, though it’s far from a certainty.

Away from games, the Resident Evil universe is expanding into live-action again with a TV show, so perhaps we will see an early look, even if the Netflix anime is a more likely candidate.

As for what we want (thanks for asking), a complete collection of all mainline games to date, remakes and all, wouldn’t go amiss to help celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary.
