Raiden, everyone’s favourite lecky-throwing man of principles, was long ago announced to become a part of Injustice 2 in a Fighter Pack, but we now have our first proper look at the Mortal Kombat veteran’s wild weekend away from home.
Coming this October, Raiden chucks lightning around like it’s one of Willy Wonka’s demented forms of candy, which is kind of like his whole thing – it’s going to be interesting to see how melee-specific characters handle him. And, of course, his torpedo move, which has been the bane of everyone for decades, makes an appearance.
Also coming to those who bought the Ultimate Edition of the game is Raiden’s premier skins, Black Lightning. These work in a way so that although they may have the same moveset, their voice lines are different. Basically, they’re quasi new characters.
Fighter Pack 2 comes this October and will also include Hellboy and Black Manta. I managed to catch footage of eSports players practicing with Raiden ahead of his wide release, which you can check out below.
