PES 2019 Releases This August, Phillipe Coutinho To Be The Cover Star

PES 2019 Liverpool FC

Konami’s annual football game that’s called Pro Evolution Soccer will see its newest instalment when PES 2019 drops this August 30th.

Phillipe Coutinho will be the cover star this year to continue the partnership between Konami and Barcelona. Meanwhile, David Beckham will adorn the cover for a special edition that is a “present-day” vision of the football legend. Neither of the two covers have been released thus far.

Some of the notable features for PES 2019 will include “Magic Moments”, which are not thoroughly detailed in the press release. However, these will tie in with special skills traits of certain players, who will also now have movement even closer to their real-life counterparts.

In addition, PES 2019 will introduce “Visual Fatigue”, which will affect how players handle intense matches and how their prowess wanes as a result. Elsewhere, new shooting mechanics will be introduced alongside more celebrations and better physics in general. PES 2019 will also support 4K HDR.

Most interestingly of all to me personally, however, is that the menu interfaces will finally be getting an update after looking a little antiquated for more than the last few years. It did a job, sure, but was rather flat compared to its sports game peers.

No news on which licensed teams will be available in PES 2019 just yet, but Liverpool are the marquee team for this year. Here’s hoping Everton also get added so I don’t have to edit the hell out of Merseyside Blue again.

PES has become the refuge for football fans tired of FIFA with just an overall different feel to EA’s monolith, so here’s hoping PES 2019 can build upon PES 2018.
