A Parrot Plays the Accordion in New Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Videos

Sorry, Horizon Zero Dawn, but it looks like we’ve already got a contender for the best game of 2017. Don’t believe me? The new videos for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which were showcased at the Game Awards ceremony, should change your mind.

The first is a trailer which mixes both cinematic visuals and gameplay footage to stunning effect. Whilst it doesn’t reveal much of what we don’t already know (other than that a huge airship will be featured in the game), the trailer still has us pining for more.

The second video showcases four minutes of gameplay. Introduced by none other than regular series producer Eiji Aonuma himself, it gives us a look at some of the faces that we’ll be meeting throughout the epic journey, including a parrot named Kass who has a fondness for playing the accordion. We also see that fan-favorite enemies, including Moblins and Lizalfos, will be returning.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be released on both the Wii U and the Switch next year.
