As first reported by Sports Illustrated, all matches scheduled to take place at NXT TakeOver: Tampa will now happen on NXT TV, starting 4/1. Triple H will appear live from the PC during tomorrow’s broadcast of NXT to address the situation and we assume will announce the full-line up for the upcoming episodes of NXT TV.
This is great news for the NXT roster, who were all building their respective feuds for the biggest TakeOver of the year. Originally, TakeOver: Tampa was set to kick-off WrestleMania weekend, with a huge rematch between Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano set to headline and potentially steal the show. Velveteen Dream is also suspected to challenge Adam Cole for the NXT Championship, in what could be the Dream’s crowning moment.
