As the dust settled following Team Kick’s loss to the The Kabuki Warriors, the NXT Women’s Champion, Shayna Bazsler and her two goons hit the ring to pick the bones. This gave way to a division-wide brawl featuring Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Io Shirai and Candice LaRae. William Regal promptly appeared onstage to announce that scores would be settled between Team Baszler and Team Ripley in the iconic WarGames match.
WWE continue to push for progressive history with this major announcement. Women will get the chance to batter each other senseless for the first-time ever inside the two cages. This is destined to be one heck of a match, following the success of the previous two WarGames matches as part of the NXT brand.
We can only assume that the line-ups will be: Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir, Jessamen Duke, Io Shirai and Bianca Belair vs. Rhea Ripley, Candice LaRae, Tegan Nox, Dakota Kai and a fifth member who’s yet to reveal themselves, although I suspect it might be Mia Yim.
TakeOver: WarGames is set to be stacked with this huge all-female main event, followed closely by the likely match-ups of Finn Balor vs. Johnny Gargano, and variations of The Undisputed Era vs. Tommasso Ciampa, Matt Riddle & Keith Lee.
