Nintendo Switch Games Cost $60, Come With Lovely Box Covers

Switch Breath of the Wild

After months of endless, annoying speculation, the Nintendo Switch is now properly out in the wild for all to pick apart after its presentation last night.

While there’s plenty to baulk at, there’s also just as much to fall in love with. Paying to go online is a bummer, but the line-up seems great, and so on – there’s a counterpoint to any criticism. Personally, I have cooled my interest a little, but let’s just wait and see.

Most importantly of all, however, is how it would be pricing its games. It’s been confirmed that they will $60 per pop, which is industry standard.

Even though it’s portable, the fact that they’re positioning its games at the same price as other console games suggests that Nintendo are primarily honing in on the home console market.

We also had a look at Switch’s box covers, which look bloody lovely. It’s worth noting that the games will come on cartridges and not discs, so it may seem like slightly wasteful to make the boxes so large.

Who cares, though. This shit is hot.

I’m not a crazy Zelda fan, but that Breath of the Wild art is gorgeous.
