Nintendo finished up their most recent Nintendo Direct presentation with one hell of an announcement, revealing the next mainline instalment in the Mario franchise. It’s called Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and it’s coming to the Nintendo Switch on October 20th. Check out the debut trailer for Wonder at the top of the page, and bask in the glory of Mario turning into an elephant and punting a Goomba into orbit.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder sees Mario returning to the world of 2.5D, exploring classic levels with a host of new powers and abilities. Mario and friends can now grind on rails and access new dimensions thanks to Wonder Flowers. With Mario, Peach, Daisy, Toad and Yoshi all playable, with four player co-op also confirmed, this could be a contender for the next great Mario Bros. title.
