New Pokémon Snap features tonnes of Pokémon for you to snap, as well as loads of ways of customising your profile. But is there any way to change the appearance of your researcher?
The answer is no, there’s no way of changing your appearance in New Pokémon Snap. Once you have selected your researcher from the default options, you have no way of changing it back again, or even altering hairstyles or the hat.
This is a bit of a shame and it’s a restriction that isn’t ever explained, but considering the fact that most of the game is spent in first-person and you only ever really see yourself in a few cutscenes, it makes a bit more sense.
While it may be added at some point down the line, the next best way to change how you appear in New Pokemon Snap is to alter your avatar.
