Cassie Cage, Jacqui Briggs and Erron Black all confirmed playable.

Mortal Kombat 11

NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Games have just published a new story trailer for their upcoming Mortal Kombat 11, and while it gives us some more details about the time bending plot shenanigans (Johnny Cage & Johnny Cage is the tag team I never knew I needed), the trailer also reveals that Cassie Cage, Jacqui Briggs and Erron Black with all be playable characters in Mortal Kombat 11. Check out the trailer below.

The story trailer gives us more indication on how villain Kronika is planning on taking over the realms, pitting a revived Shao Kahn’s Outworld forces and Liu Kang’s NetherRealm armies against Earthrealm. Warriors past and present will have to unite in what appears to be a bigger scrap than the intro movie from the start of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.

The trailer also reveals that Cassie Cage, the daughter of Sonya Blade and Johnny Cage, Jacqui Briggs, Jax’s daughter, and Outworld’s resident gunslinger Erron Black will all be playable characters. They join a confirmed roster of 12 characters, 13 if you include pre-order bonus Shao Kahn, and with characters like Kotal Kahn, Liu Kang and Kung Lao shown in the trailers, it’s fairly obvious that they’ll be added to the roster too.

If you’re looking for more details on how Cassie Cage and the already revealed Kano actually play, tonight’s Kombat Kast at 9pm GMT is what you’re looking for. As for actually playing the game, pre-ordering Mortal Kombat 11 will grant you access to the closed beta, which starts on March 28th, before the full game launches on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch on April 23rdm.
