Yesterday, news broke that the EU approved of Microsoft’s planned acquisition of Bethesda, meaning that the deal is practically set in stone. Now, reports are emerging that suggest Microsoft will take the time this week to discuss what this deal will mean for the future, particularly with regards to what it’ll mean for Xbox Game Pass.

What’s Happening This Week, Then?

According to a new report from GamesBeat, Microsoft plan to release a video or presentation of some kind on Thursday, March 11th, where they’ll discuss the wider plans regarding ZeniMax’s studios, including Bethesda, Arkane, MachineGames, id Software and more. Specifically, the video will discuss whether or not their games will be coming to Game Pass.

Crucially, the report notes that we shouldn’t expect any sort of new game announcements from this presentation, as both Xbox and Bethesda will have their own E3-related showcases where they’ll talk about their own upcoming game releases. Perhaps we’ll also hear about whether or not future Bethesda games will be available on other platforms, or if Bethesda games will be available on Game Pass from day one of launch.
