Mae Young Classic competitor and former PROGRESS Women’s Champion, Meiko Satomura, is soon to be signing with NXT UK as both a wrestler and a coach.

This is a huge get for NXT’s re-branded sister show, a performer that has roots across the UK, having competed against some of the biggest female stars in BritWres, and even in inter-gender matches against the likes of Mark Davis, Chris Brookes and ‘The Bruiserweight’ Pete Dunne.

This news was first confirmed by Tokyo Sports, where they confirmed Meiko’s intentions to start a new stage in her career as part of NXT UK. Although there is currently no official confirmation from WWE, with the hype surrounding her during the 2018 MYC, there’s no surprise that their relationship has been expanded on.

Whether this is a full-time deal, or simply a brief guest run as part of the NXT UK roster, this should certainly freshen up the stacked women’s roster, with Satomura joining Piper Niven, Jinny and current champion, Kay Lee Ray to add some international flair to the show.
