Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice Released Today On PS4 and PC

Hellblade

After years in development, Ninja Theory’s Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is available from today on PS4 and PC.

An indie game with AAA production values, Hellblade’s faithful and respectful depiction of mental health has garnered itself plenty of interest. Couple that with some rather beautiful facial animations and an aesthetic that’s hauntingly gritty and it’s little wonder why it’s one of the year’s most anticipated games.

Having played an hour of the game so far, though, there’s a lot of promise with Hellblade, though I can’t help shaking the feeling that it’s already settling into a very familiar pattern. I still have seven hours or so (according to the developers) to get through, so perhaps Ninja Theory will flip my expectations.

Hellblade is available digitally from PSN, Steam, and GOG for $29.99/€29.99/£24.99.
