In the latest episode of The Road to Double or Nothing, AEW have confirmed that Dustin Rhodes has signed with the brand and shall be competing in his final ride at the upcoming event. Goldust has been a perennial WWE guy for decades, aside from a brief hiatus in the mid 00s, but it seems now is the time for the former Intercontinental Champion to part ways with the company and look to support his younger sibling in building a new wrestling empire.

Fans have been hoping to see the two Rhodes brothers do battle for years on end. Of course we all saw a short-lived feud between the two during Cody’s infamous run as Stardust, but this seems to be the confrontation that’s going to come to define their in-ring relationship.

At this point, AEW’s premier event is looking to be one of the most exciting cards in years. With a huge rematch between the Alpha and Omega and a massive AAA Tag Title match between The Young Bucks and The Lucha Bros, having this sibling battle added to the card is making it even bigger.

Dustin seems to be going through one final evolution as part of AEW. Whether this match will go down as his retirement match or not is currently beyond us, but one thing’s for sure, this is one you don’t want to miss.

Double or Nothing will be streaming live on May 25th, will you be watching? Let us know in the comments below.
