Friday the 13th Part 3 to be Screened in 3D

Friday the 13th 3D (which is, believe it or not, the third entry in the series) is known for two things: It’s the movie where Jason finally gets his mask and also the movie where all sorts of stuff is needlessly flying toward the screen. Now, for one night only, you can watch the movie, a so-so entry in the series, on the big screen in glorious 35mm.

On Sunday, July 16th, Exhumed Films will screen the movie at the International House in Philadelphia as part of an event called, appropriately, 3-Dementia. It’s an all-day affair, and for forty bucks you can see a total of five 3D movies from the 70’s and 80’s, all on 35mm prints.

From the Facebook event page:

Join Exhumed Films as we present a mind-boggling marathon featuring some of the greatest 3-D films of all time, projected from original 35mm prints! The 1970’s and 1980’s saw a resurgence of three-dimensional movies, particularly in the realm of genre cinema

As a bonus, Worth Keeter, who directed Hit the Road Running and Rottweiler, two of the movies that will be screened at the event, will be in attendance to answer all of your burning 3D horror movie questions.
