Fortnite Surpasses One Million Players Since Launch

Fortnite Xbox One review

We awarded Fortnite a solid seven out of ten in our review, and it turns out that we weren’t the only people to have enjoyed the game.

That’s because since it entered “Early Access” last month, it’s already amassed a total of over one-million players. This news was announced in a tweet from the game’s official Twitter account below, which also confirmed that a survival mode will be added on August 29.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past several weeks, Fortnite is a co-op action survival game about a group of mismatched and heavily armed individuals trying to make do in a world overrun with monsters.

It was developed by Epic Games and People Can Fly, with Epic also handling publishing duties. If you have yet to see what all the fuss is about, you might want to head over to its official website to give it a go. Or if you don’t feel like forking out the cash, you can wait until next year, when it goes free-to-play.
