After previously being a major part of the game back in Chapter 2 of Fortnite, the Shockwave Grenade Launcher is now officially back in the game thanks to a succesful player vote via Donation Boards.
Generally one of the most fun “weapons” in the game, the Shockwave Launcher used to be a Mythic that was available from Kit at Catty Corner, but now it’s back as just an ordinary movement item. Well, ordinary in name only — it’s still a very useful, super enjoyable item to use, especially when you fling yourself around the map.

The Shockwave Launcher doesn’t do any damage, so it’s not a weapon of sorts. However, it does take rocket ammo and comes with 4 rockets already loaded. It doesn’t give you any fall damage when you use it, same goes for enemies.
The best way to use the Shockwave Launcher is as a very fast mobility item for verticality. It destroys builds very fast, so it’s recommended that you shoot the launcher below your feet and then jump to reach maximum height with the item.
It’s also very useful for getting you into opponents’ boxes. Face your back to their wall and then shoot the Shockwave in front of you to be propelled backwards and into their box.

The Shockwave Launcher is a Legendary item, so it doesn’t drop that often but can be found everywhere where loot normally drops, including as floor loot, chests, and so on.
