Fortnite OG is here, and Chapter 1 is back along with it. If you’ve ever wanted Fortnite to do a nostalgia tour back to the good ol’ days before SBMM and people taking the game far too seriously, Fortnite OG is what you’ve been craving for the last five years, and you might be craving the Victory Umbrella too.
Called Time Brella, this year’s Victory Umbrella is inspired by the time machine that brought the Chapter 1 map back as part of storyline hijinks by Slone and her pals. Check it out for yourself down below:
What’s interesting to note is the dates on the Umbrella: May 4th, 2024 and June 8th, 2068. This feels like a fairly significant and very not subtle for something big happening in the Fortnite storyline. However, May 4th is also Star Wars Day — surely they wouldn’t hint an already pretty common crossover six months in advance in a nostalgia season? There’s probably something to these dates on Time Brella, but we’re not entirely sure what.
How to Unlock the Fortnite OG Victory Umbrella
As with every Victory Umbrella released to date, players must achieve a Victory Royale by outlasting all other players and being the last one standing in the core modes of Fortnite. This can be done in Solo, Duos, or Squads game modes in either traditional Fortnite or Zero Build.
Bear in mind that you will not earn the Victory Umbrella by playing in Creative maps — only full fat Fortnite counts. There is also a separate Victory Umbrella for those who win Ranked matches this season, with Ranked cups also coming to the game as part of Fortnite OG.
Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
