Developer Stormling Interactive and publisher Iceberg Interactive have today revealed that their first-person cyberpunk horror game Transient will be launching on PC via Steam this October. A PS4 and Xbox One release is scheduled for 2021.
This new horror title is said to be a blend of Lovecraftian-esque horror, but depicted in a cyberpunk aesthetic. If this means there’s a secret boss fight with Cyber-Cthulu, much like the Cyber Akuma final boss fight in Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter. Check out the gameplay trailer courtesy of IGN below.
Here’s the game’s official synopsis:
“In a distant, post-apocalyptic future, what remains of the population of mankind lives in an enclosed citadel called Domed City Providence, created to survive the harsh outside environment. In this, mankind’s final refuge, Randolph Carter, a member of a notorious hacker-for-hire group called ODIN, accidentally stumbles across the terrifying truth, a truth that might tear apart his own sanity and lead him to question his very existence.”
Transient is being built on Unreal Engine 4, and will include plenty of horrifying moments that’ll make your character question their own sanity, as they travel between the real world and those worlds that have been artificially created.
