The First ‘The Hateful Eight’ Trailer is Finally Here

After sparing screenshot leaks here and endless speculation surrounding it there, we finally have our first proper look at the 8th film from Quentin Tarantino: The Hateful Eight.

Set after the events of the American Civil War, the film follows Kurt Russell as bounty hunter John Ruth as he takes fugitive Daisy Domergue to her execution. Considering this is a Tarantino film and that nothing is ever quite as it seems, the plan obviously goes awry when they’re stranded with a handful of dangerous strangers in a cabin.

The trailer sets up the same kind of intrigue that has been apparent in all QT’s and in the same classic style that the director’s known for, it never quite fully raises the curtain. What I could ascertain is that Kurt Russell sounds a lot like Brad Pitt in Inglourious Basterds and that Tim Roth is doing his best Christoph Waltz.

The Hateful Eight hits cinemas on Christmas Day 2015.
