Microsoft and Square Enix have announced that Dragon Quest Builders 2 will be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S via backward compatibility) and Windows 10 PCs, and it’ll be coming to Xbox Game Pass for Console, PC and Cloud too.
What Is Dragon Quest Builders 2?
DQB 2 is a block building RPG based on the iconic turn-based RPG series created by Yuji Horii, character designer Akira Toriyama, and composer Koichi Sugiyama. Instead of a more traditional RPG, you play as an apprentice builder who wakes up on the Isle of Awakening. After making some friends, you’ll try to become a Master Builder and face off against the Children of Hargon, a cult who are looking to destroy everything.
Do I Need To Play Other Dragon Quest Games First?
Despite having a brand new story, Dragon Quest Builders 2 is an accessible entry into the series, meaning newcomers can enjoy the game without prior knowledge. That’s especially helpful considering the game offers 4 player online co-op, so players can create the JRPG town of their dreams with their friends. Still, the story and setting will offer plenty of nods to other Dragon Quest games to please fans of the series.
Will This Version Of Dragon Quest Builders 2 Include The DLC?
