After previously only being available on PC and Switch, publisher Devolver Digital and developer Sabotage Studio have announced that The Messenger will be coming to PS4 on March 19th.

The acclaimed action platformer was a big player at last year’s The Game Awards, because well, you play as a time-travelling ninja and what else could anyone truly want?

Here’s the announce trailer.

“As a demon army besieges his village, a young ninja ventures through a cursed world, to deliver a scroll paramount to his clan’s survival. What begins as a classic action platformer soon unravels into an expansive time-traveling adventure full of thrills, surprises, and humor. The Messenger arrives on PlayStation 4 March 19, 2019.”

No news on price; the PlayStation Store does not yet have a listing for the game. We will update this when it does.

Thoughts? Will you be playing The Messenger? I have a soft spot for throwbacks that make me want to punch myself in the neck, so I am intrigued.
