CZW Reveal Matt Riddle’s Going To WWE

This week, word has been spreading like the hottest of cakes about indie wrestling star Matt Riddle and his potential links with WWE after he pulled out of many shows in August.

This comes after both WWE and NJPW have renewed their interest in signing the ‘King of Bros’.

Well, speculation on wrestling’s worst kept secret will be even hotter after US promotion CZW, Combat Zone Wrestling, released an advert for a show with a pretty revealing tagline, per F4W.

“Don’t miss one of Matt Riddle’s final indy appearances before going to WWE!”

The tagline was later changed to remove mention of WWE.

It is widely suspected that Riddle will be making his WWE debut in some capacity during SummerSlam weekend, likely during NXT Takeover: Brooklyn.

Riddle is one of the top stars in the indie scene right now, considered by many to be the last huge superstar created by the indies to not have signed with either WWE, Impact or NJPW. It is expected that the King of Bros will be due to start with WWE NXT in the very near future.

Matt Riddle also recently discussed his status on X-Pac’s podcast (skip to around 24:30) and notably said:

“I think it’s my time to make the right decision, do it and let’s see what happens.”
