Charles M. Schulz was, by all accounts and purposes, one of the greatest comic creators ever to have lived. His Peanuts series proved to be so successful that he would even go on to become one of very few billionaires in the comics industry before his death back in 2000, with estimated annual earnings of between $30-$40 million. There’s also no denying that his characters would go on to become some of the most iconic in history.
If you have yet to experience the adventures of Charlie Brown, Peppermint Patty, Peggy Jean and Snoopy the dog, you’re in luck, as ComiXology is hosting a huge sale on Peanuts comic books. Ending on Friday at 11pm, the sale features the 26 complete collections of the series, spanning from 1950 all the way to 2000. All of the books were written and illustrated by Schulz and are available for slightly below half-price, so this is a great opportunity for both hardcore fans and newcomers alike to get stuck in.
If you haven’t yet seen it, I also highly recommend 2015’s Peanuts movie, which was animated by Ice Age creators Blue Sky Studios. The film received a mixed reception from both fans and moviegoers in general, but I still think it’s worth checking out if you’re after a different kind of family-friendly animated film.
