Yes, I left this until the last minute. Yes, it’s because I forgot it was my turn. Shut up and realise the genius of leaving things to the last possible second. These predictions are burning hot, correlated from the very latest WWE news and Clash of Champions rumours. Get ready for the match predictions equivalent of an RKO out of nowhere.

Here we are at the first Raw exclusive pay-per-view of the ‘new era’. As the name of the show implies, every Raw title is on the line up and down the match card. Will it beat Smackdown‘s Backlash effort, or will the heavy hand of WWE Creative see the whole thing fall as flat as a Roman Reigns Bugs Bunny reference? Only WWE can answer that, but here are our match predictions, hotter than an Attitude Era inferno match:

Nia Jax Vs Alicia Fox

You’re kidding me, right? You actually need help calling this one? Nia Jax, the monster heel who recycles local jobbers every week like a human garbage truck is totally going to lose to Alicia Fox? No, Jax takes this, though possibly in a longer match than her usual fare. Fox still needs to be able to show her face in the Raw locker room on Monday.

Chris Jericho Vs Sami Zayn

This one depends on how long you think Jericho and Zayn is going to run for. Jericho’s current Stupid Idiot gimmick is slaying it right now, but he’s still Chris Jericho and he’ll still put Zayn over in the end. If this is one and done, Zayn wins tonight, but I’ve got a feeling this one will run for a few months. Jericho wins by Shenanigans so Zayn can pick up the big win at Survivor’s Series.

TJ Perkins Vs Brian Kendrick (Cruiserweight Championship)

Come on guys, give me a tough one. After making a big hoo-ha about Perkins’ coronation as Cruiserweight Champion the other week, only an idiot would book him to lose here. Fortunately, Triple H is not an idiot. Perkins and Kendrick will give us some fun flippy shit with a few high flying spots, then Perkins will pick up the win.

Cesaro Vs Sheamus

This one is the dark, dark horse going into Clash of Champions. After six matches, do these guys have anything new left to show us? It’s a tough call, but if the rumours saying Cesaro is Smackdown bound are true, a Sheamus win makes sense. Cesaro will make an instant impact on the blue brand, and Sheamus would have a decisive win and a title shot to sustain him on Raw.

New Day Vs The Club (Tag Team Championships)

The Club need these belts. Right now The New Day are bigger than the tag straps, but could also do with a bit of freshening up. Gallows and Anderson as champions would finally be legitimised as the badass tag team they were in Japan. Meanwhile, the New Day chasing the gold would give them something new to do. It’s all about character development and not staying stale, you guys. The New Day need it right now.

Charlotte (C) Vs Sasha Banks Vs Bayley (Women’s Championship)

The second Four Horsewomen triple threat of 2016 could go one of two ways tonight. Charlotte retains until WWE is confident Sasha is at 100 percent, or Sasha wins thanks to some kind of swerve from Dana Brooke. I’m thinking the latter – WWE have never let Sasha’s injuries sour them on her push, and this outcome just gives more story opportunities heading towards Survivor’s Series.

Rusev Vs Roman Reigns (U.S. Championship)

At this point WWE should just make booing Roman Reigns part of their advertising pitch: come to WWE Live and see John Cena, sing along with The New Day, boo at Roman Reigns. It’s not going to stop the company giving the Big Dog a U.S. Title Run though. As much as Ru-ru has made himself and the belts a legit attraction of late, Reigns is walking out with the gold and a clean wave of internet hate.

Kevin Owens Vs Seth Rollins (Universal Championship)

Even if this one is easy to call, it should still be a fun main event. Consider this the opening chapter of the long build to Wrestlemania 33. Owens is the king, and he’s not going to lose his Universal Title so quickly to a Seth Rollins who’s still navigating from heel to face. Don’t be surprised if the Game himself makes a shifty appearance here to help out his new best mate Kevin Owens. Just don’t tell Jericho that Kevin and Hunter are such good friends, okay? You don’t want to be called a stupid idiot.
