CD Projekt RED Working On Another Unannounced AAA RPG

Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt RED, the darlings of the gaming industry and developers of The Witcher, are currently hard at work bringing Cyberpunk 2077 to life whilst letting Geralt appear in Bandai Namco’s Soulcalibur VI, but the Polish team aren’t resting on their laurels yet.

A 2017 management board report talks about what the company are currently working on at the moment, and naturally Cyberpunk 2077 features heavily. However, the report also mentions another unannounced, AAA, story driven RPG, with no indication as to the story, setting or characters involved.

This isn’t the first time this game has made an appearance in official documents, as in a 2015 financials report, the game was listed alongside Cyberpunk 2077 and slated for the same 2017-2021 release window.

Whether this project is a spin-off from The Witcher series, as CD Projekt RED have previously stated they have no intention of creating The Witcher 4, a follow-on to Cyberpunk 2077 or a whole new game entirely, is unclear, but it’s sure to set the gaming world on fire if The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is anything to go by.
