Bayonetta 3 Release Date, Trailers and Latest News

Bayonetta 3

Ever since the character first graced players’ screens on PS3 and Xbox 360, the franchise has undergone surprising changes, the biggest of which being switching over and becoming a Nintendo exclusive franchise. With the first two games recently being ported to Nintendo Switch, fans are eagerly awaiting the newest entry in the series.

Here’s what we know so far:

What is Bayonetta 3’s release date?
No release date has been confirmed since the game was revealed at last year’s Game Awards. It’s quite likely that we’ll get some more info when E3 hits this year.

Where can I play Bayonetta 3?
Bayonetta 3 will be releasing only for Nintendo Switch, according to the release trailer shown at The Game Awards 2017.

What genre does Bayonetta 3 belong to?
Fans will be able to expect the same gameplay they know and love from the previous games, albeit with changes as the developers see fit. It’ll still be the same action-adventure hack and slash fun, just bigger and better.

Bayonetta 3 Synopsis

We don’t know anything about the story except for the cryptic trailer, so we’ll have to see how the story unfolds.

Bayonetta 3 Rumours

– Despite not much information being available about the game yet, rumours say that the game might already be releasing this year.
– Apparently, the voice actress Hellena Taylor, who voiced Bayonetta in the previous two games, hasn’t been asked to reprise her role yet.
– It’s quite possible, likely even, that the game is a prequel, due to the fact that her hair is the same length as it is in the first game (in the second game it’s down to a bob cut), and the guns she’s holding in the teaser trailer were featured in the Bayonetta anime, which takes place before the first game, where said guns also broke.

Bayonetta 3 Quick Facts

– Hideki Kamiya confirmed that the game is only happening because of their direct funding through Nintendo
