Assassin’s Creed: Origins Season Pass Details Revealed

Ubisoft have officially announced their length and breadth of their post-launch plans for Assassin’s Creed: Origins, which includes a brush with the undead in the DLC episode The Curse of the Pharaohs.

The post-launch schedule includes a number of free and season pass related content, including the aforementioned Curse of the Pharaohs DLC which will release in March. Before that, lead character Bayek will find himself taking on the Romans in the DLC episode The Hidden Ones, which will serve as somewhat of a epilogue to the main game. That DLC pack will launch in January.

As far as free content is concerned, you can expect new missions each day as part of Nomad’s Bazaar, which will reward you with in-game loot. The photo mode will also allow you to get some stunning pictures of the game’s frankly gorgeous landscape. Who knew sand could look so good?

The Trial of the Gods events are huge boss fights against giant Egyptian deities. If you ever wanted to know who’d win in a fight between Anubis and an assassin, this is your chance. We can also look forward to an upcoming Horde Mode, and the educational Discovery Tour, which aims to enlighten players on the history and mythology of Ancient Egypt.

All in all, it’s clear that Ubisoft intend to fully support Assassin’s Creed: Origins long after the game’s release date, and the mix of free and paid content will offer an incentive to all players to keep playing the game.
