It’s been a while since any details about the upcoming AEW video game made their way online, but today we may have a slight update regarding the pending release date. Sources have stated that the AEW game may be hitting shelves in September of this year, a lot sooner than many expected.
While nothing is entirely confirmed just yet, it’s likely that AEW might want to jump on the success of WWE 2K22 and get their fingers into the market while it’s fairly lucrative. However, there is still much work to be done on the AEW game, which last we saw is still in its alpha build stages.
This comes as certain members of the AEW roster have mentioned that they may have missed the call-date to be included on the inaugural AEW game’s roster, who these wrestlers are isn’t currently common knowledge, but a betting man might put their money on the likes of Adam Cole, Bryan Danielson and any other big-time draws that have made their debuts since then.
The first AEW video-game is set to make its debut on a variety of consoles, following its two mobile sister-games, Double or Nothing and Elite GM, later this year. Though this is still all speculation, I’m going to start getting excited.
