As reported following a leak from Xbox, a Resident Evil 2 demo will be available just before the game itself launches for Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Available from January 11th (this Friday), the “1-Shot” demo will offer players a slice of the game taking place in the R.P.D. station to play any way they see fit. Compared to the Resident Evil VII demo, however, it’s pretty rigid and will only allow you to play thirty minutes in total. Once your time is up, your time with the edemo is up — you’re done. This is presumably to stop the massive leaks that have been seen with the likes of Yakuza in the past.
One bright spot, though: those who finish the demo will be able to watch a trailer that hasn’t been released yet.
Resident Evil 2 launches on January 25th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
