When Is Gamers!: Season 2 Coming Out?
Gamers!: Season 2 has not been officially announced and has no confirmed release date as of October 2026. And, as it was intended to be a mini-series, we would stop hoping at this point.
The first and most recent TV season ended on 28 September 2017 after 12 episodes. It was a single cour, with no subsequent OVA, film or split-cour continuation. The official episode archive identifies “Gamers and Billing System Talk” as Episode 12, while the Blu-ray set also contains those same 12 episodes rather than additional story material.
The official anime website received its last substantial product update in 2020 and currently carries no Season 2 announcement. The anime has not been formally cancelled, but more than nine years without production news makes an imminent return difficult to argue.
The completed novels leave enough material for several more seasons. At present, however, there is no announced studio, staff, cast return or release window.
What Could Gamers!: Season 2 Be About?
A sequel could adapt Volume 6, dealing with the fallout from Keita and Aguri’s apparent near-kiss while pushing Chiaki towards a proper confession.
Season 1 broadly draws from the first five light novels, although its final episode is a largely self-contained discussion about games and downloadable purchases. A second season could therefore return to the considerably more urgent relationship crisis left behind in Episode 11.
KADOKAWA’s official Volume 6 description has Karen emotionally devastated by what happened at Spiel Kingdom, while Eiichi Misumi attempts to prove that the incident is another familiar misunderstanding.
Keita and Aguri would need to repair matters with Karen and Tasuku, but Chiaki’s knowledge that Keita is both her online friend and favourite game developer creates a second problem. Her feelings can no longer remain hidden behind usernames, arguments and the group’s heroic refusal to ask direct questions.
Where Can You Watch Gamers!?
In both the UK and US, all 12 episodes are available through Crunchyroll and its separately billed Amazon channel.
The Crunchyroll Amazon Channel is an add-on subscription and is not included with standard Prime.
The UK listing also shows digital purchases through Apple TV Store and Amazon Video. The US listing currently lists Apple TV Store purchases. Availability was checked in October 2026.
Can You Read The Manga/Books While You Wait?
The story is complete in Japanese, but no official English edition of either the source novels or manga is out there.
Sekina Aoi’s light-novel series contains 12 main volumes, with Volume 12 providing the conclusion. Volume 6 is the appropriate continuation after the anime.
A seven-volume manga adaptation by Tsubasa Takahashi also exists, but it is not the original source and does not replace the full novel storyline. Anyone requiring an official English release remains stuck at the loading screen for now.
