During Minecon 2015, Minecraft fans were treated to their first glimpses at Telltale’s upcoming Minecraft: Story Mode. If we know Telltale, we can expect to break down in tears of the sad tale of the block that never could. Although, the community has hardly fallen in love with what they’ve seen so far as they have been hammering the thumbs down button on the YouTube video.

Voices include: Brian Posehn, Ashley Johnson, Scott Porter, Martha Plimpton, Dave Fennoy, Corey Feldman, Billy West, and Paul Reubens, without mentioning the awesome Patton Oswalt rocking up to smarm his way through proceedings.
“As Jesse, players will steer their own path through a tale of adventure and survival; all brought to life by an all-star cast. Through Telltale’s choice-based gameplay and a story spanning from the Nether to the Farlands, the End, and beyond, we can’t wait for fans to experience this new take on the beloved world of Minecraft,” said Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner.
Owen Hill of Mojang also added: “They’ve crafted a story that follows the logic of Minecraft, but still manages to feel original. It’s actually pretty funny too. And the pig is adorable. We’re super excited about players digging deeper into the world of Minecraft: Story Mode later this year.”
MORE: 5 TELLTALE GAMES WE’D LOVE TO SEE
I’m not the biggest Minecraft fan out there, so I am more intrigued than excited about this game’s release. I do sincerely wish Telltale would decide to finish their series’ before starting new ones though; Tales From the Borderlands has a worse production speed than Shenmue III.
