I’m not sure if there was some kind of secret pact back in the early days of first person shooters which meant that every single one had to be exactly the same. The original Shadow Warrior had shurikens to set it apart from the likes of Wolfenstein and Doom and although its 2013 reboot offers more, it’s not much more.
We review the latest installment in the series and don’t hold back. In short, it’s okay but must try harder next time to stand out above the rest.
