The New Day and The Wyatts’ Compound Brawl Was Just Not Good

New Day Wyatts brawl

Two of the best stables in the past decade of wrestling colliding would make an interesting storyline in almost any way it was told. This, though. This is just weird. The Wyatts and The New Day brawling at the former’s compound isn’t exactly high art and isn’t much fun to watch, either.

First of all, whichever intern was let loose on Premiere Pro needs to rein it in a little. There are so many screen effects and odd frame transitions that when coupled with such poor lighting, it just looks like it’s been made with a camera made entirely of mud.

It’s also just way too crisp at the same time. The HD, clear as day resolution is a million miles away from the typical horror pastiche palette, which will be murky and intentionally ugly looking. It all comes together to create something that might look the part to some, but lacks any real heart overall.

This is where TNA can finally say it beat WWE at something. Final Deletion was madly, wonderfully absurd and seemed to be in on the joke. This strange feud isn’t in on anything apart from the bandwagon. No doubt the two teams will still kill it in the ring, though.
