WWE Worlds Collide Interpromotional Tapings Announced For WrestleMania Axxess

Past vs. present.

WWE Worlds Collide

The inaugural Worlds Collide tournament that took place over Rumble Axxess weekend seems to have been a prototype for something much bigger. This year’s Wrestlemania Axxess is going to feature four massive tapings that will include superstars from all corners of WWE, ranging from NXT to 205 Live to NXT UK to Raw and Smackdown Live. To coincide with these fun warm-ups for the big weekend, there will also be a set of NXT UK tapings to take place, all of which are to be broadcast on the WWE Network in the near future.

Unlike the previous Worlds Collide event, these tapings are more for the sake of exhibition, rather than for a championship opportunity. The first of which is confirmed to be NXT vs NXT alumni. The past is going to meet the present as superstars from the current roster will do battle with those of old. The current line-up includes:

– Roderick Strong vs Tyler Breeze
– Dominik Dijakovic vs Harper
– SAnitY vs The Undisputed Era
– Kassius Ohno vs Aiden English

Following that will be a taping that puts the spotlight on the Cruiserweights from 205 Live and NXT UK. This one is bound to be a lot of fun to watch, as we’re being treated to:

– Tyler Bate vs The Brian Kendrick
– Akira Tozawa vs Jordan Devlin
– Flash Morgan Webster & Mark Andrews vs Mike Kanellis & Ariya Daivari
– Gran Metalik vs Albert Hardie Jr (ACH)

WrestleMania morning kicks off with two massive battle royals, one for the gents and the other for the ladies. Superstars from all brands will be included in both of these huge who’s who of the brands. No entrants have yet to be released but it wouldn’t shock me if the majority of them haven’t been mentioned already. Either way, it should make for an exciting brawl, one that’ll probably be more fun than the ARMBAR.

Finally, Axxess goers will get the chance to watch the Women’s Collide finale, which of course features the women’s division from all brands vying for supremacy. Announced already are:

– Io Shirai vs Sonya Deville
– Toni Storm vs Nikki Cross vs Bianca Belair
– Piper Niven vs Zelina Vega
– Candice LeRae vs Kay Lee Ray

Definitely loads of quality content to look forward to there, more details are yet to be released confirming when exactly these specials will be appearing on the WWE Network, but I’d expect them to be available soon after WrestleMania week.
