Motion blur is one of the most controversial features of modern video games, with some people hating how it can affect game performance and be a bit disorienting, while others love how it adds a cinematic feel to action. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PC is pretty much the perfect fit for motion blur, considering it was almost designed to be played in a cinema, but luckily there’s an option to remove motion blur for those who don’t like the effect.
To remove motion blur in Uncharted on PC, players simply have to go to Options > Display > Display Settings and then turn Motion Blur Intensity all the way down to 0. If you still want just a little bit of motion blur, you can turn simply turn it down within this same setting.
Apply the change and then you should notice that motion blur has either been turned off or reduced in Uncharted on PC. You can do this in both games, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, by applying it from the first menu before you load either game up.
Motion blur really is one of the most polarising effects you will find in modern games. Often used by devs to add a cinematic feel while also making low framerates less obvious, motion blur can have an adverse effect on some players and even cause motion sickness. If you’re playing on PC, you may not have to disguise low framerates, so turn off motion blur whenever you feel like it.
