If you’ve been feeling like the Nintendo Switch could do with some additional Monster Hunter games, then Capcom have you covered, as Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin launch on the Nintendo Switch next year.

First off, we’ve got Monster Hunter Rise, which appears to be a more traditional entry in the Monster Hunter series. You control a hunter, you’ll be taking on stronger and stronger monsters to unlock much better gear, and you’ll even have a dog called a Palamute and a Palico along with you on your quest. It launches on March 26th, with standard edition and deluxe editions available, and you can check the trailer below.

Now for the more unique offering, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. A sequel to the 3DS RPG, Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is a cel-shaded adventure where you control a young lad who’s a descendant of a legendary Monster Ride by the name of Red, who appears to be able to control a young Rathalos. The Rathalos species themselves appear to play a huge part of the game’s plot. Here’s the trailer, and the game is launching in the Summer of 2021.

Will you be playing either game next year? Sound off in the comments below.
