SINGLE PREMIERE: MISS – ‘Kinkajou’

Formed on New Year’s Day of 2015, MISS are a rapidly rising alternative rock band from Brighton. They’ve already released their self-recorded debut EP Do You Feel Electric? to much critical acclaim. Now they’re back with a new single, and they’re ready to show you what they’re about.

The vocals that break open ‘Kinkajou’ will hit you hard enough to leave you reeling in shock. A few moments to collect your thoughts, and the minimalist rock instrumental will sweep you along as the whirlwind unfolds. Consider the masterful vocal control of KT Tunstall and the edgey experiments of Biffy Clyro. Riffs surge through the track, but it’s the vocal work that is ‘Kinkajou”s crowning joy. Shifting from questioning to desperation, disinterest to longing, I promise the lyrics will be ringing in your ears long after the song has finished. MISS know how to have an impact on you.

There’s a fire and passion in this song that’s more than noteworthy. It taps you on the shoulder and implores you to pay it the attention it deserves. So do.
