Shinsuke Nakamura Vs AJ Styles For Wrestlemania 34?

Wrestlemania, the showcase of the immortals, is always the talk of the wrestling world each and every year. Wrestlemania 33 has recently passed us and WWE is already putting the gears in motion for what they would like to see at Wrestlemania 34. As previously reported, the WWE are looking to book Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar in perhaps the main event match, but the rumors are now afloat that the WWE have plans for AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura at Wrestlemania 34 as well.

AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura have met inside the squared circle previously, during their time with New Japan Pro Wrestling. A match between the two took place at Wrestle Kingdom 10 and was the talk of the wrestling world at the time, because they brought everything they had in that match. The two then soon found themselves working for the WWE, but have been kept apart since their arrivals.  AJ Styles managed to immediately make his way to the main roster where he had immediate success. Styles in a short period of time easily became the man to watch on WWE television. Meanwhile Shinsuke Nakamura took a much different path to AJ Styles, starting his time with the WWE as a member of the NXT roster. Now a former two time NXT Champion, Shinsuke Nakamura has finally made his long awaited debut on the Smackdown Live roster in WWE.

The Superstar Shakeup which just took place had many of us wrestling fans wondering if AJ Styles would end up a member of the Raw brand. This would have quickly moved AJ and Nakamura apart and left us dreaming of one day seeing the two face off in a WWE ring together. Styles remained on Smackdown Live though, and now the dream match is alive and well again. The worst thing the WWE could do in regards to these two superstars is have them cross paths prior to Wrestlemania, as it kills off the mystique of the match encounter itself. The best thing the company could do at this time is to keep these two apart and begin to build and book Nakamura really strong through the year. WWE should then run a program where AJ Styles is the Champion on Smackdown Live and Nakamura wins the Royal Rumble. A Championship match booked in the main event for Wrestlemania 34 will give the company a chance to recapture the magic that these two left in the ring at Wrestle Kingdom 10, but this time on the grandest stage of them all.

The only downside, if there is one here, is how you book the finish at Wrestlemania. Does AJ Styles pick up a loss at Wrestlemania or do they give Nakamura the opportunity to carry the company on his shoulders from there? Either way it gets booked, as long as these two Superstars are given enough time inside the ring, wrestling fans know we could be treated to a 5 star match. But we could also be looking at a match worth of Match of The Year status, one that wrestling fans will add to their lists every year as one of the best in Wrestlemania history.
