Sam Claflin’s Love Wedding Repeat Looks Like Messy Fun

Netflix blessing us with a rom-com this Easter season.

Netflix just released the official trailer for Love Wedding Repeat starring Sam Claflin. Ever since The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (Claflin played the character Finnick), I have pledged to watch any movie Sam Claflin is in, which means this is going on my must-watch list no matter what. Based off the trailer, I am getting major Death at a Funeral vibes (the 2007 film with Matthew MacFayden), except this takes place at a wedding instead. This makes sense since director Dean Craig was actually the writer for Death at a Funeral (both the British and subsequent American remake).

Jack’s (Claflin) sister Hayley (Eleanor Tomlinson) is getting married, the problem is, he has quite a lot on his plate to deal with. Let’s see, there’s his ex-girlfriend (Freida Pinto) to contend with, a misplaced sedative, and coming face to face with the one who got away (Olivia Munn). As if going through all this once isn’t enough, Jack is stuck in some wedding Groundhog day loop, where the day repeats itself, and we get to see alternate versions of the same day play out.

Love Wedding Repeat is a remake of the French film Plan de Table, and you will be able to stream it on Netflix come Good Friday – April 10, 2020.
