“Ravishing” Rick Rude Finally Inducted Into the WWE Hall of Fame

Rick Rude

Bleacher Report have broken the news that “Ravishing” Rick Rude will finally be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of ‘17.

With a career spanning over a decade, and multiple championship reigns across WCW, WWE and more, it’s hard to argue against The Ravishing One’s legacy. His arrogance during his exemplary Intercontinental Title run, and the rest of his career thereafter, made him the perfect heel, but there was an undeniable charisma that made him so engaging to watch.

Whether he was battling The Ultimate Warrior for the IC Title, founding Degeneration X with Triple H, Chyna and Shawn Michaels, or appearing on both WCW and WWE programming on the same night, Rick Rude blazed a trail through the wrestling industry and cemented his place amongst legends.

Rick will be inducted by current Hall of Fame alumni Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat; a fitting choice, really. Their stellar work together in WCW is proof of that. It’s unfortunate that Rick hasn’t been inducted into the Hall of Fame sooner, as it’s been almost 18 years since his untimely death, but this posthumous recognition is a welcome one, and helps bolster an already impressive Hall of Fame Class.

Now let’s all hit the WWE Network and remember some of Rick’s best work. It might even help you forget Fastlane.
