Netflix’s Daredevil Season 3 Confirmed For 2018 Release

Fans of Marvel’s Daredevil series will be pleased to know that in a recent Netflix Q2 Earnings video, Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos confirmed that a third season will be releasing in 2018. In the video while discussing the future of Netflix, Sarandos states:

“In the short term, we’ve got new seasons coming up, in the second half of this year, of Orange is the New Black, Ozark, Iron Fist, Daredevil, Narcos, the finale of House of Cards, the follow-up series to Making a Murderer.”

So while there is no exact release date as of yet, fans can rest easy knowing that it will release in the next four months. Daredevil Season 2 released all the way back in March 2016, over two years ago. Matt Murdock, however, did reappear in the crossover sequel series, The Defenders in August 2017.

After the events of The Defenders, Matt Murdock is thought to be dead amongst friends and family, however as seen in the post-credits scene of the final episode, he is very much alive. Does this mean he’ll now be working in complete secrecy, or perhaps he’ll suffer from memory loss? Only time will tell.
