John Morrison Makes First WWE Appearance On The Bump

Dirt Sheet comeback confirmed.

John Morrison

Rejoice! ‘The Shaman of Sexy’ made his official return to WWE programming today when he appeared live on the new Network special – The Bump.

Kayla Braxton hosted the homecoming party for John Morrison, who relived some of his greatest moments from his previous run in the company, including his success on Tough Enough, the numerous IC and Tag Title runs and his prominence in the revived ECW.

The panel also gave equal attention to JoMo’s work outside of WWE. Over the past eight years, Morrison has competed all over the world in a plethora of different independent promotions, credit to WWE for putting the spotlight on Morrison’s legacy in Lucha Underground, IMPACT and even 5 Star Wrestling. For new fans, this should be more than enough to sell them on ‘The Guru of Greatness’.

Tying back into Morrison’s last WWE run, his former sidekick and tag partner The Miz shared his heartfelt thoughts on JoMo’s return. Miz and Morrison left a huge impression on WWE programming, producing the first-ever internet show, which laid the foundations for other material later created by Zack Ryder, Xavier Woods and of course, the WWE Network itself. Miz hopes that Morrison will make his official in-ring return on the blue brand, so they can pick things up where they left off and continue to make the world ‘jealous’.

Morrison ran down some of his fantasy opponents that included the former Universal Champion: Seth Rollins. Braxton stirred the pot with some comments made by Rollins in the past, setting up a potential feud for when Morrison returns to TV. Current Intercontinental Champ Shinsuke Nakamura was also thrown into the mix, another superstar that Morrison would personally like to tussle with. Alongside these prolific names were Ricochet, Finn Balor, Aleister Black (who Morrison claims he has better kicks than) and ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt. All very tantalising feuds for JoMo to start his latest run with.

There’s currently no word on which brand John Morrison will eventually debut on, nor what new surname Morrison will adopt. Either way, it’s really exciting to have John Morrison back in WWE, and we’ll keep on top of any rumours or announcements going forward.
