While it may not be half as popular over here as it is in Asia, Capcom have revealed that a Hollywood adaptation of Monster Hunter is in the works.
Taking to the stage for the Monster Hunter Stories presentation at TGS 2016, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto said:
“While it isn’t related to Stories, there is a Hollywood movie adaptation of the main series in progress.”
That’s all the information he has to give, but at least we know it’s happening. It’s probably going to become embroiled in development hell, as is the way these days, so you can expect to watch a trailer for it sometime around 2025.
