To celebrate the launch of Rocket Racing in Fortnite on December 8th, 2023, Epic are giving away the skin that was seen competing against Jonesy in the cinematic trailer shown at The Game Awards 2023, Jackie.
Jackie, who you can also use in her LEGO form for Fortnite LEGO, will be a free item for anyone to earn regardless of whether or not they have the Battle Pass, but you will need to do a little bit of grinding first.
To unlock Jackie in Fortnite, players must earn Gold rank 2 in Rocket Racing as part of the Try Rocket Racing! quests that were also added on December 8th, 2023.
Gold rank isn’t the top rank in Fortnite Rocket Racing, so you don’t have to win every race to unlock Jackie. You just have to get to Gold rank 2 out of all of these:
- Bronze 1
- Bronze 2
- Bronze 3
- Silver 1
- Silver 2
- Silver 3
- Gold 1
- Gold 2
- Gold 3
- Platinum 1
- Platinum 2
- Platinum 3
- Diamond 1
- Diamond 2
- Diamond 3
- Elite
- Champion
- Unreal
As long as you just keep racing away, you will be able to unlock Jackie eventually but it is quite the grind.
Players can also unlock a special car skin for trying out Rocket Racing for the first time, as well as the Dieselback Pack Back Bling for playing ten Rocket Racing matches.
This is a timed reward, meaning that players only have until around March 26th, 2024 to unlock Jackie for free in Fortnite, after which point she may come to the Item Shop and be sold as a premium skin.
Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android.
