Five Deleted Bloodborne Creatures Have Been Found, More To Come

It’s been a while since Bloodborne came out and many players probably thought that the biggest fans of the series had already found everything there is to find in the game. They thought wrong. In the last month, a lot of new content has been found, from cut dialogue to old revisions of cut content. To top it off, Lance McDonald, an Australian developer, has found five creatures that were deleted from the game. One of them is something called the “Slug Princess” which can’t hurt the player but can be killed and does have an animation to attack the player. There are some other smaller creatures that look like they were the earlier designs of some of the witches you see in the full game, but can’t be damaged or damage the player. Another unfinished creature is this thing that looks somewhat like a doll that was brought to life.

One of the most finished creatures is the “King of Skeleton”, which could either have been meant to be a smaller boss or an ordinary mob, which has full attack animations, a pretty cool dying animation and can damage the player and be damaged itself. The other one is called “Lesser Demon” and was definitely meant to be a boss, with the whole way it’s presented and attacks. It’s a pretty big dragon-like creature with a huge axe and it can damage the player and be damaged, too. McDonald described both of these creatures as fitting the Dark Souls aesthetic more than that of Bloodborne, but other than that, isn’t quite sure why they were taken out of the game.

Lance is working on digging more creatures out of Bloodborne’s files and will post his progress on YouTube.
