First Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Set Photo Released

Once Upon A TIme IN Hollywood

Leonardo DiCaprio, the star of Quentin Tarantino’s next film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, has shared the first set photo from the upcoming film on Instagram of himself and co-star Brad Pitt in fabulous 60s garb. Leonardo DiCaprio rocks the yellow turtleneck and orange jacket while Pitt has a more rugged blue-jean jacket covering a regular black tee.

Tarantino’s 9th film is set in 1969 at the time of the infamous Charles Manson murders, which reportedly will not be the revolving point of the film’s plot. Instead focusing on DiCaprio’s character, Cliff Booth, an old western TV star who couldn’t make it on the big screen, and his stunt-double, Rick Dalton, played by Brad Pitt.

Margot Robbie is set to play Manson victim Sharon Tate, Burt Reynolds will play George Spahn, with Al Pacino, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Emile Hirsch, Dakota Fanning, Luke Perry, James Marsden, Nicholas Hammond, Scoot McNairy, Damian Lewis, and Timothy Olyphant also being cast in the film. No word yet on whether or not any of these actors are going to play Manson, but my gut tells me we’ll find out sometime very soon as the set pic of DiCaprio and Pitt signals the beginning of filming.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is set for release on August 9th of 2019, just in time for the 50th anniversary of the real Manson murders.
