FIFA 22 is officially out today after seemingly being out in various stages already, with fans across the world eager to find out what’s changed this year. One thing hasn’t changed: launch issues, namely in FUT.
All players who pre-ordered the game will notice that they have a Ones to Watch pack available to open when they log-in to FIFA Ultimate Team today as their pre-order bonus becomes available. Ones to Watch are essentially exclusive variations on normal cards that are available for a limited time, with plenty of players eager to get their hands on some of them.
However, you can actually be over eager with the Ones To Watch pack this year, as there seems to be a fairly serious bug in the game. The pack is there for you to claim, but it has a disclaimer that you should only open it from 6PM BST on October 1st. Anyone who does open it will instead just get a regular Gold pack.

It’s a bit beyond bizarre that EA would release a pack and make it openable but with a disclaimer (one that many people would miss), and then somewhat punish you for opening it by giving you something completely different.
It’s unclear yet whether or not players will be “refunded” the pack or not, though you’d imagine EA would fix it. They are aware of the issue and are currently looking into it.
So, if you’re logging in to FUT today for the first time in FIFA 22, make sure you avoid opening up your Ones To Watch Pre-Order Pack until the allocated time. It doesn’t make sense, but it is FIFA after all.
