One thing about being an adventurer in an RPG is that you’re going to need extremely deep pockets to keep all the loot and materials you’re bound to pick up over the course of your journey. This sentiment is of course true in Dragon’s Dogma as well, with your character and Pawn only able to carry a certain amount before they become overencumbered. The amount of weight you hold also plays into how quickly you drain your stamina too, so one of the stats you’ll want to increase almost immediately is your carry capacity.

As you’d expect, there’s multiple ways to increase your carry capacity in Dragon’s Dogma 2, with the most obvious one being level up. Once you hit certain milestone levels up to around level 30, you’ll receive a flat increase in your overall carry capacity, meaning as you get stronger, you’ll be able to carry more equipment and heavier weapons/armor, so make sure you’re grinding out that EXP.

Beyond just getting buff though, there are several rings that you can acquire, such as the Ring of Accruity, which will increase your overall carrying capacity when they’re equipped. These rings can be found at item vendors in the various towns you’ll explore during your travels, are given as rewards for completing quests, or as loot in treasure chests across the world.

Finally, another way to increase your overall carry capacity in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is by finding Golden Trove Beetles during your travels. They’re fairly largely beetles, which can be found in areas outside of towns. Most often, they’re found clinging to trees, but can found by searching high and low across all of Vermund and Battahl. They exhibit a golden glow that makes them easier to find at night, though exploring at night has its own risks. Golden Trove Beetles can be consumed via your inventory, and will increase your carry capacity by 0.15kg. It’s not much, but eventually, after consuming a good chunk of beetles, it begins to add up.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is available now on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X & S.
