Behaviour Interactive have revealed that Dead By Daylight will be making its way to the next generation of consoles, and better still, it’ll be available as a free upgrade to all current players. This news comes amidst the announcement of The Realm Beyond, a new initiative that’ll vastly improve the game’s visuals.
With more details revealed on the official Dead By Daylight website, The Realm Beyond is a year-long plan to bring a graphical overhaul to the game, introducing a series of updates to visuals, lighting, animations and more, that’ll be arriving on all current platforms. Naturally, these upgrades will also be available for next-gen too.
In particular, the first Realm Beyond update will be focusing on improving the two maps Springwood and Yamaoka Estate, specifically retooling individual rooms to make them serve a more specific purpose. There have also been some significant changes when it comes to how you interact with chests and generators. The new update launches on September 8th. Will you be playing Dead By Daylight?
